Parents Plus Early Years Programme – New Edition

We are currently developing a new edition of the Parents Plus Early Years (PPEY) programme which we hope to launch in June 2026 with the first training available in September 2026.

The new facilitator training, manual and materials will integrate the different formats of the PPEY and guide you how to deliver the programme in small groups or to individual families in primary care, disability and community settings

The new programme materials have been updated to adopt a neurodiversity- affirming approach and to address the needs of Autistic, ADHD and neurodivergent children whether they have a formal diagnosis or not.

Updates to the programme materials include

  • A new parent book with additional content and illustrations for the eight week group delivery.
  • An updated parent pack for individual delivery at a parents pace.
  • Re-narrated and revised videos with real parents and children illustrating different parent-child interactions.

New content includes

  • ‘Managing big emotions’ and co-regulation with children.
  • Parent self-care and self-regulation.
  • Tuning in’ to children’s sensory needs.
  • Adapting responses to meet the needs of individual children and parents.

The new materials have been developed in close consultation with PPEY facilitators and families. If you are trained PPEY facilitator and have not yet input your ideas feel free to complete this short survey to give your suggestions.

The revised programme will be launched with a special online event later this year and the first facilitator training for new faciliators will take place in September and bookings are now open.

For Parents Plus Facilitators who have previously trained in the PPEY we will provide an additional training in the new edition. We will announce details later this year.
